Handcrafted by Chulucanas potters in Peru, black terracotta planter by Los Angeles-based AD100 designer
Ross Cassidy reflects both the ancient works of Peru and Cassidy's ultra-modern aesthetic. Employing pre-Incan techniques, each planter is thrown on a potter's wheel before it is dried for three days. The piece is then fired at least five times in a special kiln with mango leaves to achieve a rich blackened finish with a subtle sheen. Only 20 pieces are made per day due to the complex nature of the process. CB2 exclusive.
