Modular wall sculptures by Los Angeles artists Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman pay homage to the distinctive geometric motifs of California midcentury modern. The bold, textural forms are based on Jerome's cast-brass hardware designs from the late '50s, many of which were selected for the Pasadena Art Museum's annual "California Design" exhibition to exemplify the importance of good creative design. CB2 exclusive.
Detroit natives Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman founded ERA Industries in 1956. For 50 years, the Los Angeles-based couple played a central role in shaping the California midcentury modern movement. Presenting in collaboration with
Ackerman Modern, the pieces in this collection recreate the couple's iconic midcentury designs using original drawings and archival photographs.
